The 2013 Daguerreian Society Mini-Symposium
The 2013 Daguerreian Society Mini-Symposium will be held in Arlington, Virginia on March 9 & 10.
Symposium activities will take place in the Holiday Inn Rosslyn Ballroom both Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10. 2013 Mini-Symposium Schedule
SCHEDULE IN BRIEF
Friday, March 8
Tours 1 & 2 (Friday AM, 12 person limit per tour): Cameras Under Lock and Key, with curator Shannon Perich, offering a behind-the-scenes tour of photographic apparatus at the Museum Support Center of the Smithsonian Institution. Note: Participants must be able to use the stairs to access the second floor where the tour will take place.
Tour 3 (Friday PM, 15 person limit): Photographic Treasures from the Library of Congress, with curator Carol Johnson. As a huge bonus, Carol is asking each participant to suggest one item they would like to see during the tour in the Prints and Photos Division. Once all the details have been worked out, another Constant Contact email will be sent to the 2013 Mini-Symposium registrants regarding signing up for the tours.
Saturday, March 9
Sunday, March 10 Symposium Headquarters
The Symposium headquarters will be the Holiday Inn Rosslyn at Key Bridge, 1900 North Fort Myer Drive, Arlington, CA 22209.

Symposium Registration and Trade Show
Would you like to attend the Symposium? A Constant Contact emailing was sent December 27, 2012 giving registration information. A registration form is also be available in PDF format. Remember, Early Registration ends February 1!
 The TradeFair will be held at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn on Sunday, March 10. TradeFair admission is free for Mini-Symposium registrants. A coupon offering $5 off general admission is available by clicking on the TradeFair card, left. Like the registrations for the 2012 Baltimore Symposium, registration fees are all-inclusive amounts to cover the financial obligations of the society. So all 2013 March Mini-Symposium registrations fees include both the Saturday luncheon with speaker at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn, followed by our business meeting and Live Benefit Auction, as well as an early entrance to the trade show on Sunday, March 10.
