appeared in the "New-York Daily Tribune" (Vol.  No. ):

  DO IT, NOR LEAVE THE TASK TO ME. 
If, the Fourth of July you would properly spend. 
   Take your wife if you have one, if not take a friend, 
Go to ROOT'S for your pictures, and as years roll by 
   You'll remember with pleasure this Fourth of July.

           BRADY'S National Gallery of Da- 
guerreotypes, No. 265 Broadway, containing the largest col- 
lection of valuable Portraits in existence, will be open on 
Monday, the 5th of July, from 8 A.M. till 6 P.M.  All in 
want of fine Pictures are invited to call.
