EASTFIELD VILLAGE WORKSHOP
Eastfield Village is a small museum dedicated to 19th C. rural American life, located near Nassau, NY. Late last June, Eastfield Village hosted a very successful 3-day workshop on two historic photographic processes: daguerreotype and wet collodion.
The workshop staff consisted of Notch Miyake and Roger Watson (conservation, International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House), Ken Nelson (daguerreotype), and Mark Osterman and France Scully Osterman (wet collodion). This gallery shows how well the 12 participants did on their day with the difficult daguerreotype process. Images 1 through 4 were all made by the workshop participants.
