I identified the town through the signs on the book store/printing shop of Glazier, Masters & Smith across the street. The building was still there when I last checked. I gave the owner a print of the view, and he said it helped him win a battle with the town over his right to use the cobblestone sidewalk in front: obviously, it was part of the building before the street was paved. The figure above the Cutting & Co.'s Express Office sign is a wooden Indian.
